Doris Deutmeyer - Biography
Doris is a fiber artist and former elementary art educator. She has been working
in the arts for over 35 years. Doris is best known for her framed fabric
landscapes and mini quilts, which she sells at art/craft shows throughout the
Midwest. She has developed her own cut
and collage method of creating fabric landscapes and recently has been
experimenting with the use of art materials to add dimension and texture. In
2000 she expanded her business, Fabrications, to include landscape patterns and
mini quilts. Always loving to share her love
of fabric and art you’ll find Doris teaching her techniques in quilt shops and
giving workshops to quilt guilds. For Doris, making fabric landscapes and quilts
is a creative journey through discovery and experimentation.
